Found within the serene grounds of Rotten Hill, The Cat’s Meow Café is a haven for plant-based cuisine. Locally owned and lovingly run, the Cafe' blends mindful simplicity with vibrant flavours, where "eating the rainbow"  becomes an everyday pleasure to nourish body and soul.


At the heart of the kitchen is Kafi, whose menus are guided by both creativity and nutrition — creating vibrant vegan meals that feel as good as they taste. From hearty comfort dishes to light, colourful bowls, everything is prepared fresh and designed to complement the calm, nature-filled surroundings of Rotten Hill.


Whether you’re visiting after a meditation session, staying in one of the retreat cottages or simply stopping by with friends, The Cat’s Meow Café is a space to slow down, eat well, and enjoy food that’s both grounding and satisfying.


Signature Dishes


The Café serves a rotating selection of vegan dishes inspired by local ingredients and global flavours.                       

Regular favourites include:


   

  • Buddha Bowl A protein-rich, rainbow medley of local veg with toasted quinoa, split pea tofu and red bean humus
  • Roti  - Coconut curried veg wrapped in a dhaal puri skin, served with fresh salad
  • Potato Lasagne: - ....with lentils and cashew/tofu cheese
  • Green Goddess Salads: local greens with creamy avocado dressing
  • Gourmet Mushroom Burgers with homemade buns and toppings
  • Rice Noodle bowls with herb-crusted tofu and local greens
  • Gluten-free Multiseeds Waffles with savoury toppings
  • Gluten-free Pizza
